Yesterday I went to the Beehive Salon in Williamsburg for a hair cut. I used to go to The John Sahag Salon
(funny story about that, a few years ago I went to see Iron Man and thought 'Wow Liv Tyler's hair is so pretty, I need a hair cut!" then randomly found Gabriel at the Sahag salon bc I was tired of Bumble & Bumble and felt like trying a new place. When I met him, I told him about that, and he said 'Well, I actually cut her hair for that movie..)
but at $250 a cut.. I can't afford that anymore! This cut was the most reasonable one I've gotten in years, and my stylist, Jen, did a great job.

Jen even gave me a free deep conditioning treatment. Actually what I think happened was she needed a smoke break so she let me sit with my hair in the sink for a bit longer while she went in the back and smoked. Haha
She fixed up the digital perm I got in Korea while I was visiting with a few friends over winter break (worst hair choice of my life! ruined the texture, used to be curly and thick and now it's just messed up and a bit limp from the chemicals. At 7 months now, I'm hoping at 1 year it'll be back to the way it was. Word of advice from Jen: never get your hair done in other countries) What happened was, my friend took me to the salon and the lady told me about this new technology.. I envisioned medusa meets the matrix. She said it would make my crazy wild hair manageable, smooth, and pretty. Since my hair has always been a source of anguish, I let her go ahead and do it. Big mistake.
I also decided to go jet black.
Unfortunately, this morning I woke up with a scratched cornea AGAIN. This time in the other eye. Man I gotta be more careful with my contacts. Had to bring 'Soojin' back and wear those glasses. They are actually Prada men's.

I took some time to consider my future. I realized it was time to get serious and stop taking my educational foothold for granted. My parents care a lot about education and have tried to give me opportunities that they didn't have when they were younger. I thought about Paris, and after I get back, I'll have 2 credits left. I can do part time school while doing some psych research so I can closer to psych professors for recommendations. Most psych grad programs don't stop at Masters, but instead, require a 5 year track to your PhD. I want to get out of the city, and am even considering a move back to the west coast, maybe to UCLA. Most apps are due in Jan, which is too rushed because I would only have a few weeks after Paris to get that ready. Instead of going straight to grad, I may take the rest of the year after I graduate to work, then apply the next year.
